Artistic Education

It is noteworthy that unfortunately arts education in Chile is quite lacking integration into our students, at country level it is still not aware of the true relevance that involves developing early childhood an education committed to the artistic disciplines as with traditional subjects is taken .

Very few establishments that take into account the association of content that can be achieved through the artistic disciplines, for now only displayed as workshops extracurricular leaving them sections of daily development of children.

These methodologies must be mix toghether with teaching modes from, aware by historical and social differences of each student convergent thinking.

Countries like New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Iceland already use pedagogies based on methodologies of integration between content and maintaining a balanced focus from learning from the point of view of the artistic and logical thinking. Statistics shows that these countries have the highest level educational systems in the world.

In my opinion this must change urgently, our children deserve quality education that boost their creativity and do not keep their brains entangled on automatic thinking, we must believe in them and strengthen their sensitivity.

Subject you´ve enjoyed studying this semester!!! (8)

Seminar of Contemporary Technique is divided in three sections, one of them we investigated in our bodys the three-dimensional movement. In the classes initiated with a training  focuses in prepare the body with different exercises individual and in couples. This exercises be in contact with the space and relation with the body, with the flow of the energy, with the risk and body instability and the relation of lability. in class content through physical exercises practiced either in groups or individually, as well as developing content choreographies that reveal the qualities of movement taught.

I really like this class because it is a new content that wakes me new physical and emotional analysis, allows me to see my body and that of others in new relationships that allow risk and discover new movements and body language. The look is very important to find the axis tridimención in our bodies, eyes focused every point in space that then all the rest of the body found to establish dynamic relationship. along with everything else I have been allowed to anneal my body in relation to space from a different birth.

 Steve Paxton (7)

Steve Paxton is known as the creator of Contact Improvisation. This American dancer belonged to the field of modern dance, and along with other dancers began investigating dance as a means of communication by contact. As a practical to restore the broken social ties and to show that it was possible to communicate with the other through contact of the skin. To prove that it was possible that the other will collect status information teammate dancer for the simple fact of maintaining a continuous fluid contact, which arose a "little dance". In this regard Paxton said that "the skin is the best source of images, since it works in all directions at once".
He was also one of the founding members of the Judson Memorial Church in New York, where he presented most of his choreographies.

Currently the practice of Contact Improvisation is very important in the development of the discipline of dance, being integrated in various university curricula as well in autonomous workshops,  also currently exist the so call Jams, where groups of people, not only related to dance gather together to practice contact.

I met Paxton steven through my college and my studies related to the area.

This photograph was taken by Sebastiao Salgado Brazilian photographer, social documentarian and photojournalist.

Born on February 8, 1944 in Aimorés, in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Salgado initially trained as an economist, earning a Bachelor of Economics from the University of São Paulo in Brazil. He began working as an economist for the International Coffee Organization, often traveling to Africa on missions for the World Bank, when he started taking photographs seriously. He decided to abandon a career as an economist to change the picture in
1973.

This photograph shows the Serra Pelada gold mine, became known during the 1980s by a run of modern gold, having become the largest gold mine in the world open sky. It is located in the municipality of Curionópolis south do Pará state, Brazil.

I like this photograph because sebastiao manages to reveal fatigue and exploitation suffered by those men in conditions of absolute insecurity superhuman, with faces migrants risking their lives devastated by work. it is a very symbolic photograph showing the courage and the will of these bodies to scale that depth with a clear objective.

Dance and Street (free topic)

I´m interested in this topic becouse we conect with people that usually don´t know about dance,  is so beautiful what happens mainly on the carnaval, is where the artist go directly to the commiunity, a gester  of passion and love in every door on the street. Making the streets fill with energy, loves and smiles, colouring and reviving the cold and aislated concrete in our neigherhood.

First of all there´s a lot of groups that are interested in taking dance to the street, this are denominated street comparsas like for example la provinciana, Carnavalito Gitano, la Siembra.

Its beatuful like every groups prepares it self to take all of this energy, colors, and love.
Its hours invested on rehasals, schuedule and mainly focus on thad place where we all bound as artists and commiunity.

By the other hand commiunity are, wich generates this encounters from the autonomy, there are many things involve, compromise, teamwork treasuring neigherhood enconters, etc.
